Fibersol®-2AG Labeling & Certification
Fibersol®-2 can be labeled as “digestion resistant maltodextrin”, “resistant maltodextrin”, “maltodextrin”, or “soluble corn fiber”.
Any of the above can be followed by “fiber”, “dietary fiber”, “soluble dietary fiber”, “source of dietary fiber”, “dietary fiber [Fibersol®-2]“, or “Fibersol®-2″.
Example: maltodextrin (dietary fiber [Fibersol®-2])
- 2.8g of Fibersol®-2 AG (2.5g fiber)/serving “Good source of fiber”
- 5.6g of Fibersol®-2 AG (5.0g fiber)/ serving “Excellent source of fiber”
*In support of nutrient content claims, factors such as the amount of total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium in the finished food must be taken into account to allow a claim.
No Added Sugar and Sugar-Free Foods
Fibersol®-2 AG contains very few simple sugars for your consideration of a “no sugar added” or “sugar-free” claim (21CFR101.60), and can be used up to 10 grams (dry basis) in any food application while only providing 0.20 grams of sugars (typical value).
